| The map below shows earthquake activity in the Reno, Tahoe, and
Carson City areas from 1960 through 1996. The black circles show the
epicenters of earthquakes with magnitudes of 5.0 and larger. Red dots
mark smaller earthquakes. Suspected Quaternary and Recent fault traces
are in white; the blue dots show the locations of NSL seismic monitoring
stations. |
